My 4 year old son was recently diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia which is a type of blood cancer. Doctors in Lucknow immediately referred me to Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai further treatment. I was in huge shock and called up my manager that evening to inform him. He advised me not to panic and assured me of all the possible support from the organization. With the help of the organisation, my appointment with the doctor in TMH was fixed for the very next day and also my stay in Mumbai was taken care of. A cab was provided to me at the airport at my disposal. I was repeatedly told by my manager to concentrate on my son’s treatment and that everything else would be taken care of. I was able to admit my child to the hospital and his treatment began that very day. I am being transferred to Mumbai so that we can continue the long-term treatment of my son. At present his condition is stable and doctors are quite optimistic about his cure. I have received immense support from people across all levels of the organisation - from help with work, settling in and some also donated blood. I could not have asked for anything more. I am thankful to the organization for the kind of support and care extended at the time of need.
